Unboxing: "An Elegant Weapon... for a More Civilized Age."

 So… What’s in the box?! Oh… ‘Hello There!’ 

When I saw it online… I just had to get it. Couldn’t help myself. With Ewan back, this was an absolute must for the collection. A mockup of the Kenobi lightsaber, the Jedi Master’s third and final lightsaber, which he used to defeat Darth twice! Just sayin. 

 

No… this is not a lightsaber you can attach a plastic blade to and duel with your friends at Comicon. With such an action, the lightsaber would shatter like Alderaan after… well, you know. That said, after seeing the maker’s posted images, it seemed worth the chance. I am quite happy with that purchase. 

 

The item is 3D printed. I opted to pay a higher price to have the maker paint the lightsaber (my painting skills suck). All in all, it’s a great repro of Kenobi’s lightsaber, the one used from Episode III onwards. The paint job is a good match to the real deal. 

 

BTW, do you think the real one blew up on the Death Star or did Vader have it with him in his Tie Advanced? Just curios.

*** For Kenobi fans... check out the Black Series Kenobi lightsaber that is available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth. Looks like a great saber for display or dueling. It seems to include great sound effects to add to a dueling experience. I will be checking this out.
