KENOBI - The Wandering Jedi

The hermit Ben... the mysterious, kind and peaceful man dwelling out amongst the sand dunes on Tatooine. All right, let's hit the ground running! Disney, Hasbro, Kenner and whoever else has a true stake in things, released or is releasing action figures (and other things) tied to the Kenobi miniseries. Here we have a pic of the Vintage Collection Obi-Wan.

The figure is quite detailed and captures his "wandering" days perfectly. My plan is to definitely get a second one so I can open the package and interview Obi-Wan for the blog. As always, Entertainment Earth has Star Wars fans and collectors covered with the Kenobi series toys/collectibles:

Alec Guinness was classic - an amazing actor in so many ways, and Ewan McGregor was absolutely phenomenal, giving Star Wars fans the young Kenobi we hoped for when we first heard of the prequels being developed.

I for one am hoping for a second season of the Kenobi series, but should that not come to be, I thing the Kenobi team (actors, writers, director, and all) brought us an absolutely brilliant series (for me, its brilliance was cemented by the last meeting between a Darth and Obi-Wan. Sure, we can nitpick over small stuff and canon glitches, but the series, for most Kenobi fans I know, hit a home run. I might critique the series in a future post. For now, I want to ask fans a question or two. Or several?

What if Obi-Wan is the chosen one? Did he not bring balance to the Force? After watching Obi-wan layeth the smacketh down in his second series encounter with Darth... is Kenobi dancing around the edges of being a Gray Jedi? Yeah, I know, some laugh off the Gray Jedi idea, but at least consider Kenobi's rage at times. In the 70s/80s series, Obi-Wan was barely in the films, but his presence made an incredible impact nearly every time he popped in. Just some thoughts as my new Obi-Wan action figure enters the collection. Great job, Ewan!!!!!!
